CUBER History

This page describes some of the more and less important events in that process. See as well the section on presentations.

2002-03-7 / 8 TRAIN-IT Infoday & Annual Workshop
The TRAIN-IT Infoday was a special occasion for the CUBER exploitation team members Bernadette Nagl and Mariona Sanz to share experience concerning exploitation and business planning with people from other projects or potential start-ups and with experts on that subject.

The programme contained interesting lectures about "Chances and Benefits for Entrepreneurs in IST" and about "Marketing and Entrepreneurship", which gave an introduction to the complete efforts on business plan writing. Further issues on the agenda were "Due Diligence", "Venture Capital - past/present/trends", "Exit Strategies and A Company's Value".

Though the event was focusing more on actual start-ups than on project initiatives, the contacts made were very valuable. For CUBER two contacts with experts are of special interest: Mr. Dave Darsch (Entrepreneur and Business Advisor) - for reviewing the CUBER Business Plan, and Mr. Jorge Vieira de Silva (MTA) - for giving feed-back on the research plan for the CUBER Market Acceptance Study.
