July, 2010 -
www.cuber.net - documentation
The original Cuber site was launched in January, 2001 by the European CUBER curriculum consortium, an association of higher education institutions which was funded to promote and market programs and curriculum offerings through a combined web-based platform.
Funding for the project started in April 2000 and ended September 2002. The page was continued on as a resource until June 2008, after which time it was let lapse. View site archive on the way back machine.
In 2010 the site was picked up and relaunched independently by Cem Maharaqa as an expanded directory (including an academics and education component, but also other web resources).
In June, 2010, Cuber.net was acquired by Athivia College president Graham Harvey for Athivia College, an online college resource with a strong interest in Open Education Resources and Open Source Curriculum.
When Athivia was reconfigured to act as a central location for free college resources, Cuber.net was restored to its education focus to provide a place to share links to a variety of high quality resources that are topical to the the OER movement or to web resource location for enrichment or academic purpose.
Throughout July of 2010 the index was rebuilt and re-annotated. The revised site was re-launched late August, 2010.
A brief note about the brief notes...
